Angel In A Blue Dress

Her dress was Blue.

Like her Eyes.

She looked like a Princess.

She looked peaceful. She looked so much better than that night she left.

The Funeral Director did such a wonderful job.

Her beautiful Nails were painted Blue to match that beautiful Dress.

She had her Bracelets.

She had the St. Anthony Rosary that I had gotten her years ago from LaSalette. Mom had so many Rosaries to choose from, but that one... That had to be the one.

The final touch?

Her Ambush perfume.

She loved that perfume.

I honestly don't know if Avon even still makes it. But, Mom had enough to last her forever.

The morning of her Funeral as we were getting ready to go to the Church, the Funeral Director told Dan that he had some bags with my Mother's belongings from the Hospital. He got them when he picked her up. He put them into Dan's Car.

Immediately I asked Dan to check the bags for her Scapulars.

And, there they were.

I held them and cried a little. Dan asked if they could put them on Mom. He said that he would put them on her just before they closed the Casket. He didn't want to mess up her hair while People were still coming in to see her.

I was so happy that they were found.

She'd always worn them.

So, she needed to have them.

And, she finally did.
